It seems like every manufacturer has a 48MP smartphone this year, ranging from
Huawei and
Meizu to
Samsung and
Xiaomi.
Motorola is the latest company to join the party with the Motorola One Vision.

The new phone features a
48MP primary rear camera (
Samsung GM-1, f/1.7 aperture, OIS) as well as a 5MP depth sensor. Motorola is also going with a high-resolution snapper on the front, offering a 25MP punch-hole camera.

The manufacturer is also bringing a few camera tricks to the phone, including a Night Vision mode (its take on Night Sight and night mode), portrait lighting, and auto-smile capture.

The Motorola One Vision is definitely a mid-range device when you look at the power-related specs. Motorola’s device utilizes the unannounced Exynos 9609 chipset, offering a 2.2Ghz octa-core CPU and budget Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. Other core specs include 4GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 3,500mAh battery with 15-watt charging.

The Moto One Vision also packs a 6.3-inch Full HD+ LCD screen (21:9), a rear fingerprint scanner,
NFC, IP52 splash resistance, and
Android Pie (using
Android One). Speaking of software, Motorola says the phone will receive updates to “Android Q and Android R.” Motorola is also promising security updates for three years, as you’d expect from an Android One phone.

The Motorola One Vision isn’t coming to the U.S. or Canada unfortunately, but it’ll be available in Asia, Australia, Brazil, Europe, and the Middle East. The device will set you back 299 euros when it launches in Europe this month. What do you think of the Moto One Vision? Sound off in the comments below!
