The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G launches next month in the UK
Even though The Samsung Galaxy Fold doesn’t yet have a re-release date, the company announced today that its upcoming Galaxy S10 5G has a much firmer launch in the U.K.
According to Samsung, pre-orders for its first 5G smartphone will kick off May 22 in the U.K. The phone then goes on sale June 7 through Samsung’s website, Samsung Experience Stores, EE, and Vodafone. samsung insinuated that the Galaxy S10 5G will eventually be available on other networks, though the company didn’t say as much in its announcement.
Android Authority reached out to Samsung for more information on availability, but didn’t hear back by press time.
Samsung CEO: galaxy fold release decision coming ‘in a couple of days’
According to The Korea Herald, the new United States release date for the Samsung Galaxy Fold will be determined in the next few days. This information comes directly from Samsung CEO Koh Dong-jin, more commonly known as …
Even though it’s exciting to see a flagship 5G smartphone launch in the U.K., there’s reason to temper expectations. Earlier in May, it was reported that Galaxy s10 5G owners in South Korea have struggled with poor 5G connectivity and an inability to switch to 4G LTE. Samsung pushed out an update that promised to iron out the aforementioned issues, only for the issues to still stick around.
It’s been a blame game ever since, with Samsung and carriers accusing each other of the issues. Let’s hope that a similar scenario doesn’t play out in the U.K. once the Galaxy S10 5G launches.
